Support for Democracy |
|
At BLACCXN, we are helping to support democracy by bringing the corporate voice to the fore. We have realised that the old model of democracy is not appropriate for the twenty first century. The House of Commons and House of Lords are outdated institutions, not fully reflecting the modern era, but are instead relics of a more feudal time. To update this model for the twenty first century, we are investing in a new wing on the Houses of Parliament, one that better reflects society as it operates today. Introducing
plans for the new - Increased pressure has been put on the old Parliament buildings over the past few years. New security measures and an increasing threat to democracy from outside, malevolent forces bent on destroying our way of life has required new strategies from our government. BLACCXN has proudly assisted government to rethink the whole of Westminster, helping to create a new institution prepared for the 21st century. Where there was once just the House of Commons and the House of Lords, there is now a welcome addition: The House of Corporations BLACCXN, as a truly democratic, caring corporate citizen, is helping to build the new House of Corporations.
The site to the south of the House of Lords (pictured above) was an obvious location - a derelict but prime site just waiting for regeneration, like all other prime but derelict sites and particularly those with river-frontage. Used predominately by lay-abouts and pigeons, Victoria Tower Gardens is Crown land and it has been used as parkland. For development to take place, all it takes is an Act for change and in this there are precedents. At BLACCXN, we may not innovate, but we know who to imitate. Click

precedents.
At BLACCXN, we regard prime sites, like Victoria Tower Gardens, that have been allowed to go to seed as yet another anachronism from a bygone era when elites ruled by virtue of their birth. We believe in access, in productivity, in usefulness. No longer ruled by the aristocracy Britain is not even the plutocracy you may have begun to suspect it might be. Really... Britain is a meritocracy now.
To prove we
live in a democracy, a public consultation is coming to a venue
near you, to talk you through the new plans for the House of
Corporations and to facilitate your engagement. "Because we care about democracy."® ...on some of
the most important and exciting aspects of the new development.
Citizens up and down the country will have their say on the interior
decoration motif for the new House of Corporations. Public consultation
is central to BLACCXN's way of doing things for the community. Plans for the third wing are now released. Click here for further information. |
